Dr. Jon Marc Van Slate

Dr. Jon Marc Van Slate began his formal education in 1981 at the University of Texas at Austin as a Finance/PreMed major, and received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1989, from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. Since then, Dr. Van Slate and his capable staff have taken great pride in overseeing the dental health of thousands of patients. Since 1999, Dr. Van Slate has maintained over 150 hours a year in dental continuing education. He has studied at some of the leading dental institutes in the US, such as LVI, Pankey, and Spear. He also has completed orthodontic programs at the United States Dental Institute of Orthodontics.

Sherri Roytan

Sherri has worked with Dr. Van Slate since 1992. She has over 25 years of experience in dental office management. She has a vast knowledge of insurance principles and is often asked to consult other dental offices on insurance related issues. She has significant computer skills and is trained in all aspects of the dental field including, managerial, insurance, financial, treatment planning and assisting. Sherri is married and has twin boys. For many years she was the lead singer in a local country and western band.

Leta Engram

Leta has over 20 years of experience as a dental assistant. She has worked with Dr. Van Slate since 2006, and her knowledge and organizational skills quickly made her invaluable to our practice. Leta’s work ethic and dedication to dentistry is unsurpassed. She is one of a few dental assistants who have attained certification through the Dental Assisting National Board. Leta grew up in Indiana and completed her dental assisting training at Indiana University. Leta enjoys talking about sports and was an avid softball player.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, as well as her two dogs Lola and Buddy.

Adriana Clayton

Adriana came to our practice with a wealth of dental practice experience. Not only is she a fantastic dental assistant, we also rely on her expertise in helping us run all aspects of our practice. She is the person we count on to make sure our schedules and appointments run smoothly. Patients always tell us that they love Adriana’s consistently friendly and helpful attitude.

Another asset Adriana brings to our practice is she is fluent in Spanish. Adriana is married to her husband Christian, and they have twins (a boy and a girl). In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her Pomeranian dog, Chompi.
